BURGLARS who tried to break into a shop in the centre of Shildon left empty-handed after they were scared away by an alarm. The attempt at the 1001 Bargain Centre, on Church Street, happened at 12.30am on Sunday, December 8. Anyone who can help with enquiries should contact Shildon Police on 101.
VANDALS HUNTED: Police are hunting vandals who damaged the shutters at the rear of Console Connections, Church Street, Shildon. The attack took place between Saturday, December 14 and Monday, December 16. Anyone who can help with enquiries should call Shildon Police on 101.
HOMES DAMAGED: Police are appealing for help after vandals threw stones at several homes in Shildon over the last week. Damage has been caused to houses on Scott Street, Fir Tree, Birch Avenue and Elm Avenue. Anyone who can help with enquiries into the offences should call Shildon Police on 101.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT: The Fishburn Brass band is to perform a Christmas concert at Fishburn and District Working Men’s Club, on Alhambra Terrace, Fishburn. It starts at 8pm on Friday (December 20) and there will be a raffle and collection.
