PEOPLE are being invited to swim for just £1 to celebrate the re-opening of two County Durham pools.
The swimming pools at Spennymoor and Teesdale leisure centres have both been closed for essential maintenance and will re-open on Friday, December 27.
To celebrate this, people are being offered the chance to swim for £1 on the day at either of the two leisure centres.
Mark Lee, manager at Spennymoor Leisure Centre, said: “We’re delighted with the work that has been carried out and really pleased to be welcoming people back to the swimming pool.
“We’re very grateful for people’s patience during the work and to thank them we are offering them the chance to swim for just £1.”
Ben Kelsey, manager at Teesdale Leisure Centre, said: “This offer is perfectly-timed for people wanting to work off some of that Christmas over-indulgence.
