TRIMDON Grange Community Centre is hosting two children’s Christmas parties on Saturday (December 21). The first party, for youngsters under 11-years-old, takes place from 4pm to 5.30pm. Entry is £1.50, including a disco, buffet and games, and for £1 extra the children can meet Santa. Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult. This will be followed by a disco for older children, which takes place from 6pm to 8pm and costs £1 to attend.

DOG BITE: Police in Newton Aycliffe are trying to identify a man who was bitten by a dog on his forearm near Jackson Place yesterday (Wednesday, December 18). He is described as being between 18 and 20-years-old, 5ft10ins, slim and white with a dark complexion. He has short dark brown hair and was wearing an orange top, blue jeans and black Adidas Samba trainers. Anyone with information should contact 101.
