BOWBURN Infants and Nursery School has been given a Gold Award from Durham Civic Pride. The mascot, Tidy Ted, visited the school to present the award, which recognises the school’s efforts to save energy and cut waste.
SUNDAY SERVICE: Emmanuel Church Durham will not have a Sunday morning service on December 29 but will host ’29:3-6’ from 3pm to 6pm. The event, at The Durham Centre, Belmont Industrial Estate, will include elements of ‘exchange’, ‘engage’ and ‘encounter’. All are welcome.

ANNUAL PROCESSION: Durham Churches Together will hold its annual service in Durham Cathedral on New Year’s Eve at 6.30pm, following a lantern procession from Durham Market Place.
