A SCHOOL show gave young musicians and performers a chance to shine earlier this month (December).
The annual concert by Teesdale School, in Barnard Castle, gave the audience a taste of things to come with a preview of its forthcoming production of West Side Story starring Daisie Moore, as Maria, and George Ford, as Tony.
The production, which will be accompanied by a 26-piece orchestra, will take place from Wednesday, February 5 to Friday, February 7, 2014.
Other highlights included solo performances such as those by year seven students Sam Wilson, who played Purcell on the piano, and Holly Hughes, who played The Ash Grove on the viola.
