MORE than 30 needy families in Darlington will receive a special hamper of Christmas treats, courtesy of Darlington Rotary Club.
The club has been donating food and money weekly over the past year to the Food Store network at Kings Church in Whessoe Road.
But a special effort for Christmas was mounted, and with a Rotary donation of £500 and specially discounted food from Sainsbury’s supermarket in the town, the club was able to fill 33 festive hampers.
