CHRISTMAS Eve church services will take place in Sedgefield tomorrow at St John Fisher Roman Catholic Church on Front Street at 8pm and St Edmund’s Church on the green at midnight. On Christmas Day, the Eucharist will take place at St Edmund’s at 8am, followed by a family service at 10am; Christmas Day worship will be held at Sedgefield Methodist Church on North End at 10am; and a Christmas mass will take place at St John Fisher at 10.45am.
POLICE APPEAL: A black Carrera Subway Hybrid 18 Speed mountain bike was stolen during a shed burglary at Washington Crescent in Newton Aycliffe sometime overnight on Thursday, December 19. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
SPORT SESSION: Youngsters can take part in a variety of ball games, including football, basketball and dodgeball, at Oakleaf Sports Complex in Newton Aycliffe from 3pm to 4pm on Monday, December 30.
