THE Co-operative Funeralcare in Shildon would like to thank everyone who attended its memorial carol service, which raised more than £250 for the Wishing Well (Gateway) Club in Newton Aycliffe. The club provides leisure opportunities for people with learning disabilities.
VEHICLE DAMAGE: The windscreen of a silver Honda Accord was cracked sometime between 4pm on Sunday, December 22, and 7.30am on Monday, December 23, while the car was parked on Stanhope Close in Ferryhill. VOLUNTEERS WANTED: Patient and reliable people who are good communicators are being encouraged to volunteer at Options, a disabled club in Newton Aycliffe. The club, which is based at the Pioneering Care Centre, offers variety of skill-building, educational, sporting and social activities to disabled adults.
