A CAR crash and a fallen tree caused disruption on a main road in Darlington.
A motorist with suspected back injuries had to be rescued from their car by firefighters after the two-vehicle collision on Carmel Road South at 11.30am today (Friday, December 27).
Police believe that one car had driven into the back of the other and further disruption was caused when high winds caused a tree to fall onto the road around the same time as the car crash.
Darlington Council workers were called to remove the tree and the road was closed during the operation.
