Man stabbed in Wallsend

A MAN was stabbed in an assault in the early hours of this morning (Friday, December 27). The 26-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the chest and cuts to his head in an incident at a house on Tynemouth Road, Wallsend, North Tyneside. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Northumbria Police on 101.

FULL MEETING: Durham County Council will hold its first full meeting of 2014 at Durham’s County Hall on Wednesday, January 8, at 10am. The meeting is open to all.

NO RAPE: Police investigation an allegation that a rape had taken place in the women’s toilets at Eazy Street bar, Westmoreland Road, Newcastle, on Boxing Day have concluded no rape took place. No further police action will be taken.
