RESIDENTS are being asked to be good neighbours during the winter weather to ensure that people are coping okay.
Durham County Council is asking people to think of others especially those who may be vulnerable.
The authority wants people to get in touch with people who are ill, old or who live on their own in case they need a helping hand.
Help keep drives and footpaths clear by shovelling snow for friends and neighbours if they struggle to do it themselves.
The council also wants residents to call on people living nearby who may need help to ensure that they are warm and that they have food and medicines.
