A MOTORCYCLIST was left with a serious leg injury following a traffic accident.
The Yamaha motorbike and a car collided just outside Catterick Racecourse at Catterick Bridge, North Yorkshire just after midday on Saturday (December 28).
The 33-year-old motorcyclist, from Brompton-on-Swale, was taken to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough following the accident. It is believed the impact of the collision resulted in the motorcyclist being thrown over the bonnet of the red Peugeot.
The driver of the car, a man in his eighties from Northallerton, was said to be shocked but uninjured.
Witnesses say an ambulance which was already stationed nearby for an ongoing event near Catterick Bridge arrived on the scene within minutes.
