A MAN who was kicked out of a Darlington pub after taking his clothes off on the dance floor must pay compensation after smashing two of its windows in a drunken rage.

Sean Peel punched two windows at the Joseph Pease pub, in Darlington’s Tubwell Row, after he was removed from the venue for taking his clothes off and refusing to put his shirt back on.

Magistrates in Darlington heard the 21-year-old had spent the day drinking with friends before the incident happened, just before midnight on Saturday, December 14.

Michael Clarke, for Peel, said: “That is the reason why his behaviour is such a loutish fashion.

“He quite simply went out with his friends on the day in question, he had too much to drink and can’t remember much about what went on.”

Peel, of Mildred Street, Darlington, admitted criminal damage and magistrates ordered him to pay £300 in compensation, as well as £85 court costs.
