RESIDENTS have until Friday to get their Christmas trees recycled by Darlington Council.
Recycling points have been created at several locations to enable the trees to be collected and turned into wood chippings.
The recycling points are: South Park, Bedford Street Entrance, North Park, B&Q on Whessoe Road, Water Park in Middleton St George, Town Farm Field in Sadberge, Rockwell Pastures, Charwood Drive, Faverdale, Homebase at Darlington Retail Park, Sugar Hill Park, Prior Street Entrance, Hurworth Grange Community Centre, Eastbourne Park, Heighington, Village Hall Car park and the Household Waste Recycling Centre.
The council’s general rubbish collections are still operating on an amended schedule this week and residents should put their bins out the day after their usual collection day.
Normal collections will resume on Monday, January 13.
