TALENTED performers are being sought to entertain the crowds at a popular family show this summer.
It may be only January but preparations are well underway for this year’s Great Aycliffe Show, which is due to take place in Newton Aycliffe on Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 24.
Great Aycliffe Town Council, which organises the show, is keen to get the community involved in the popular free event and is looking for clubs, groups and societies to perform on the grass in the arena.
A wide range of entertainment is planned and all types of entertainers will be considered – anything from marching jazz bands to gymnastic teams, acrobats and cheerleaders.
Interested parties should contact Marie Robinson, show co-ordinator, at Great Aycliffe Town Council, who can offer advice and assistance to those who are unsure if their entertainment would be suitable.
