Youth theatre to perform Alice in Wonderland in Shildon Civic Hall

The Tearaways Youth Theatre group is to perform its pantomime Alice in Wonderland at Shildon Civic Hall. The show runs between Thursday, January 23 and Saturday, January 25 at 7.30pm. There is also a matinee on Sunday, January 26 at 2pm. Tickets for the January 23 show are £3 and tickets for the other shows are £4.50 for adults, £2.50 for children aged five to 15-years, £1 for children aged three to four-years and £2.50 for concessions. ACTORS SOUGHT: The Tearaways Youth Theatre group is seeking youngsters to star in its Dirty Dancing musical which will run in June. Auditions will take place in early February. Anyone aged between 11-19-years can audition with details from 01388-774838.

DRUGS OFFENCES: A man was arrested after a cannabis plants were found in a house on Co-operative Street, in Shildon, on Friday, December 20. The male occupant was arrested and he is currently on police bail while enquiries continue.

POLICE WARNING: Motorists in Shildon are being warned by police after a spate of attacks on vehicles over Christmas where property has been stolen. Shildon police is urging residents to ensure vehicles are locked and to remove property upon parking. Anyone with information should call Shildon police on 101.
