A DANCE is relocating after more than two decades at the same venue.
Ferryhill and District Workingmen’s Club, on North Street, Ferryhill, has hosted a dance every Wednesday for about 25 years.
From Wednesday, January 15, the dance will instead be held at Ferryhill Catholic Club, on Dean Road, and be held fortnightly.
Organisers, who took over running the dance from club officials about two years ago, hope the move will reinvigorate the event which features sequence and modern dancing and live music by organist Mike Foxcroft.
Peter Collins said: “We no longer have use of upstairs at the workingmen’s club and hope that some people might find the new hall more accessible and start coming regularly.”
