On Saturday, January 18, North Country Theatre will be performing The Lost World at Hutton Rudby Village Hall, in the village near Stokesley, at 7.30pm. DOMINO DRIVE: There will be a domino drive at Kirby Sigston Village Hall on Wednesday, January 22. Tickets will be £3 including supper. The evening begins at 8pm. Proceeds will go towards village hall funds.

HISTORY OF WINDMILLS: Stokesley Society will be holding an illustrated talk on the development of windmills and their importance in North Yorkshire on Monday, January 27. The talk will be by Peter Morgan. The event begins at 7.30pm in the upper room of Stokesley Town Hall. All are welcome and entrance is £1. The society will be giving a talk on the creation of the RSPB Saltholme Bird Reserve in February and an audio visual presentation on walks on the North York Moors during March.
