MEETING REARRANGED: The Police and Communities Together (Pact) meeting for Middleton St George, originally planned for January 29, has been rescheduled and will now take place on Wednesday, January 22. The meeting will be held at Dinsdale Court, in Middleton St George, at 6.30pm, with representatives from Darlington police and Darlington Borough Council available to discuss local issues.
SHOPLIFTING TACKLED: Police in Darlington have hailed the success of the Shopwatch initiative, after 17 shoplifting suspects were arrested at B&M, off Whessoe Road, thanks to co-operation between store managers, staff and officers. Litter, needles or graffiti can be reported to the council at darlington.gov.uk/reportit or on 01325-388777.
