A CHARITY night featuring a raffle, DJ and disco, will take place at Shildon Civic Hall from 7.30pm to midnight on Friday, February 21. POLICE APPEAL: A black Mitsubishi L200, registration number CV56 VOP, was stolen from a property at Killerby, near Barnard Castle, at 3.30pm on Monday, January 13. The vehicle is believed to have been driven towards Bishop Auckland and police are keen to speak to anyone who has seen it. COUNTRY NIGHT: The Sedgefield in Bloom Committee is holding a Honkin Tonkin Country and Western and Rock ‘n Roll night to raise funds. The event takes place at Sedgefield Parish Hall on Saturday, January 18. Tickets cost £8 including a pie and peas supper and are available from Sedgefield Town Council offices on Front Street. CIVIC DINNER: Councillor Barbara Clare, the mayor of Great Aycliffe, is holding a charity civic dinner and dance at the Aston Hotel in Newton Aycliffe, from 7pm to midnight, on Friday, February 21. Tickets cost £26 to include a reception, three-course meal with tea and coffee, table wine, entertainment and dancing.
