Updated 2:34pm Monday 20th January 2014 in By Alexa Copeland, Reporter (Darlington)
Exercise after Stroke sessions are taking place at Eastbourne Sports Complex on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
The hourly sessions, run by Darlington Council’s Sports Development Team, cost £2 and run from 2pm to 3pm and 3pm to 4pm.
An additional one-hour session is also run at the Dolphin Centre on a Monday between 1pm and 2pm.
Access to the programme can be made by referral from a medical professional.
BAG PACK: Children and staff from Corporation Road Primary School have raised hundreds for the Darlington Women’s Refuge and their own visit to the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
They carried out a bag pack at Victoria Road Sainsbury’s and raised £374 for each venture.
Marie Steward, charity organiser at Sainsbury’s, said the company was a keen supporter of the school’s sports programme and she thanked staff and pupils for also raising money for the store’s chosen charity.
