Prayers, pies and puds in Gainford

PRAYERS, PIES AND PUDS: Tickets are on sale for a Pie in the Sky evening in Gainford. Organised by the Ordionariate of Our Lady of Walsingham which meets at St Osmund's Church, a selection of gourmet pies and puddings will be served at the village hall on Friday, February 28, following mass at 7pm. TASTY TREAT: Youngsters aged nine to 12 are being invited to Cook 'n' Dine sessions at Teesdale School on Tuesday, February 18 and Thursday, February 20. Using the school's catering suite, they will cook a tasty, healthy lunch before sitting down as a group to enjoy what they have made.
