History in the making at Northallerton

A lecture on sociable history in 18th century York is being held in the North Yorkshire County Record office, in Malpas Road, Northallerton on Friday January 31 from 12.30pm to 1.30 pm. Tickets which cost £2 can be booked on 01609 777585
AGE UK in Bedale is appealing for more volunteers to help run the shop. They’re also asking for donations of good quality laides and children’s clothing and all tyupes of laptops and computers. Items can be dropped off at the shop which is in the market square next to the post office.
SLEEPING BEAUTY: Northallerton amateur Variety Company are stating the pantomime in the Forum this week up to Saturday January 25. Performances are at 7.15pm with a matinee on Saturday at 2.15pm. MOTHER AND TODDLER – A group meets in the Methodist church Hall at Romanby on Monday’s from 1pm to 3pm and Fridays 9.15am to 11.15am. Everyone welcome relaxed atmosphere, Sessions cost £2 and £1 for each additional child over six months. Call Pippa on 07790 793559 for more information.
