A NEW school has held a dedication service at Durham Cathedral.
Durham Free School, which has a Christian ethos, opened in September but its dedication service was held on Thursday, January 9.
The service was led by the Very Reverend Michael Sadgrove, the Dean of Durham, and included hymns, readings and speeches.
Headteacher Peter Cantley said: “We are delighted to be here in this awe-inspiring and much-loved cathedral.”
Pupils were presented with Bibles from the Gideons.
