A SUPERMARKET has turned its post-Christmas clear out into a good deed by donating a selection of festive decorations to a nearby village hall.
Sainsbury’s at Sedgefield has donated the festive decorations that adorned the shop-floor throughout December to Trimdon Village Hall.
The larger than life items include Christmas trees, a giant Christmas pudding, parcels and robins.
Store Manager Racheal Owens said: “We’re delighted to donate these decorations to Trimdon Village Hall. We received great feedback from our customers on the decorations and it’s great to ensure they’ve found a good home in the community”.
Geoff Appleton, Trustee from Trimdon Village Hall added: “I’d like to say a big thank-you to the team at Sainsbury’s Sedgefield for this generous donation. We’ll certainly be putting them to good use, and are very excited to see Christmas 2014 in the hall.”
