DARLINGTON Flower Club will hold its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, February 5, at St Cuthbert’s Church Centre, in the Market Place.

There will be a demonstration by Janet Hayton, entitled ‘Inspired By’. The club has vacancies for new members.

A few tickets remain for the club’s annual charity event, in aid of Breast Cancer Care, on Wednesday, March 26, at Headlam Hall Hotel. For tickets, call Phyl Hodgson, on 01325-374205.

HATS TALK: The next meeting of the Darlington Embroiderers’ Guild will be on Saturday (February 1), at Elm Ridge Methodist Church, in Carmel Road South. A talk will be given by Catherine Hart, entitled “Hats for all Occasions”. The meeting starts at 2pm and visitors are very welcome for a small charge.

WARD MEETING: Councillors Anne Marie Curry, Fred Lawton and Alan Macnab will be holding a ward surgery for residents of North Road Ward in the foyer of Northland Methodist Church, in North Road, on Wednesday (January 29), from 9.15 am to 10.15am.
