CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Vandals are believed to have fired an air rifle to damage a window at St John’s Church, Burnie Gardens, Shildon. The window was broken between Thursday, January 16 and Saturday, January 18. Anyone with information should contact Shildon police on 101.

GATES THEFT: Police are appealing for information after the theft of two 2.5metre by 2.5metre steel box section metal gates. They were stolen from the Wienerberger Bricks and Roof Tiles, at Eldon, on Friday, January 24 from a secure compound. The police believe that the crooks used a vehicle to transport the gates. Anyone who saw a suspicious vehicle at the site or who has details about the theft should contact Shildon police on 101.
