POLICE have released details of a man wanted in connection with damaging a car in Shildon.

The assailant inflicted the damage on a silver VW Bora parked on Dalton Crescent, as he walked past the vehicle at 11.10pm, on Friday.

When disturbed by the car’s owner, the man ran off into Thickley Terrace and onto Redworth Road.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his late 20s, 6ft tall, with a pale complexion and a distinctive spotty face.

He was wearing a light grey Adidas hooded top with blue stripes down the arms and dark coloured tracksuit bottoms.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or with information about the assailant, to come forward.
