PREPARATIONS are underway for a village fair’s tenth anniversary this summer.

The tenth annual village fair and classic car show takes place in Ingleton in June and organisers hope to attract around 2,000 visitors.

Attractions include up to 200 classic vehicles, including some commercial and American ones, the first ever dog show in the area, for working dogs and family pets, judged by a local breeder and a special area for classic and modern motorbikes and their owners to meet and exchange ideas about biking.

There will also be a paintball shooting gallery, a climbing wall and various catering facilities.

A spokesman for the event said: “The village fair and classic car show has grown considerably and has succeeded in giving spectators, participants and volunteers alike a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable experience.

“It is already setting itself up to be an exciting family day.”

The event takes place on Saturday, June 14, at 11am.

Entry and parking are free and there will be a free programme of events available on the day itself.
