SHED INTRUDER: Police investigate incident at Burnhope
ALLOTMENT RAID: Police are investigating after intruders went onto an allotment behind the Ivy Leaf Club, in Burnhope, and forced open shed padlocks. They then tried to remove a mechanical water pump, bicycle and generator without success. Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 5pm on Wednesday and 9am on Friday is asked to ring Durham Police on 101.
SEWER REPAIRS: Two-way traffic lights will be installed on Wear Road, in Stanley on Monday, February 24 while sewer repair work takes place. Work is expected to last for five days.
