A NEIGHBOURHOOD Watch officer is being sought for Plantation View and Bridge Field Court, in Howden-le-Wear.

SPEED WATCH: A speed matrix deployed in Hargill Road, Howden-le-Wear, found only two vehicles out of 48 were travelling over the 30mph limit.

FOOTBALL CELEBRATION: Frank Clark, a former Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest player and 1962 FA Amateur Cup winner with Crook Town AFC, is expected to attend the 125th anniversary celebration evening at Crook AFC on Friday, May 2.

EASY WALK: The Crook and Weardale Ramblers have organised an easy seven mile walk in the Deerness Valley which will take place on Sunday, February 23. The group will leave Crook Market Place at 9am to catch the 9.50am bus from Esh Winning. The walkers should park near Lloyds Bank, which is close to the bus stop. You will get a ticket if you park near Lloyds bank...it is a loading area only...traffic wardens about on Sundays as well.....
