A GROUP of slimmers are taking part in a national campaign to lose weight for charity.
Members of the Slimming World groups, which are held at the Methodist church hall, in Sedgefield, and Bishop Auckland Cricket Club every week, are joining in the Slim for Good Project.
The aim of the six-week campaign, which kicks-off on Monday, February 24, is to help people lose weight and improve their health while raising money for a good cause.
The 190 slimmers voted for Cancer Research UK because it is a cause close to group leader Alison Cusick’s heart.
She said: “When it’s a cause close to your heart, like Cancer Research UK is for so many of us in the groups, it’s even more of a push.”
