POLICE are inviting people to get their bikes marked at the Durham Dales Centre, in Stanhope, on Saturday, March 1, between 1pm and 4pm.

Bikes will also be registered on a secure national database, which will be used to reunite them with their owners if stolen.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A car roof was damaged while it was parked in McIntyre Terrace, Bishop Auckland, overnight on Wednesday, 29. Witnesses should call Durham police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.

WINDOW SMASHED: Vandals smashed the window of a blue Ford Focus parked outside Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Monday, February 24, between 6.45pm and 9pm. Witnesses should call Durham police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
