THE annual meeting of Darlington Flower Club will be held on Wednesday (March 5), at 11.30am in St Cuthbert's Church Centre.

This will be followed by a faith lunch.

Bob Harris will give a demonstration, entitled Seeds of Creation, at 2pm.

MAYOR’S TALK: Tickets are still on sale for the inaugural Darlington Mayor’s Lecture, at Central Hall, on Thursday (March 6). The theme of the event is ‘the North-East’ and the speakers are former Newcastle United chairman Sir John Hall and historian Dr Gill Cookson. COFFEE MORNING: Haughton Green Methodist Church is holding its monthly coffee morning on Saturday (March 8), from 10am to 11am. There will be stalls including cakes and bring and buy. Admission is free. All are welcome.

SATNAV STOLEN: A sat nav was stolen from a gold Volkswage cabriolet between 10am on Friday (February 28) and 8.20am the following day. The car was parked on a driveway in Blackwell, Darlington. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. Call 101 or email stewart.walker@durham.pnn.police.uk
