YOUNGSTERS have taken part in a world record bid to have the largest number of people using Play-Doh at the same time.
Pupils at St Charles Primary School and King Street Primary School, both in Spennymoor, took part in the challenge.
They were joined by a number of UK schools, along with pupils from Turkey, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
St Charles teacher Ann Loveridge said: “The children were really excited and they couldn’t wait to take part.
“Each of the children made their own model and they enjoyed playing with the Play-Doh and they made some really good models.
“We’re going to create a Play-Doh museum at St Charles and King Street schools to show them off.”
Fifty nine youngsters from St Charles school and 63 from King Street, all aged between four and six-years-old, took part in the challenge, which was the idea of teaching consultant Shonette Bason-Wood.
It is not yet known if a world record has been set.
