Weekend walk for Durham Rambling Club
DURHAM Rambling Club will do two walks, of nine and 12 miles, in the Allendale area of Northumberland on Sunday (March 9). A coach will pick up around Durham. The cost is £12 per person. New members are always welcome. Call 07706-871-812 or 0191-373-3429.
CROSSGATE TALKS: The next meeting of Crossgate Community Partnership will be held at North Road Methodist Church, North Road, Durham, tomorrow (March 4) at 7.45pm. Among the issues to be discussed are developments at 51 The Avenue, the former County Hospital and Neville’s Cross club.
TWO WALKS: Durham Ramblers will do a five-mile walk to Hell Cauldron and the meeting of the rivers Tees and Greta in Teesdale on Wednesday (March 5), starting at the Morritt Arms Hotel in Greta Bridge at 10.30am. CANCER SUPPORT: Durham and District Women’s Cancer Support Group will meet in the education common room at the University Hospital of North Durham on Monday, March 10, at 7pm.
HOUGHALL MEETING: The next meeting of Houghall Horticultural Society will be held in the conference hall of East Durham College’s Houghall building, near Durham, on Tuesday, March 11, at 7.30pm.
