BIKE MARKING: Newton Aycliffe Neighbourhood Police Team is holding a bike security marking event from noon to 4pm on Saturday, March 15. The event, which is part of Operation Spoke, will take place at the old BHP solicitors’ office in the town centre.

MUSIC CLASS: Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre on Burn Lane is staging a “Popnosis” class on Saturday mornings for youngsters who like to sing or rap. The first session, Jammin’ Juniors, is for five to 11-year-olds and runs from 10am to 11am. The Slammin’ Seniors session is for 12 to 18-year-olds and runs from 11am to noon. The classes cost £3.
