CLUB MEETS: At their meeting on Monday (March 10), members of Darlington Soroptimists marked World Water Day, which is later this month, by raising money to fund a toilet twinning project. Members took part in a blind water- tasting, water-related quizzes and a duck egg raffle to raise the £60 needed to help some of those who lack decent sanitation. The money will be used to address the urgent need for sanitation – and help communities understand the link between poor personal hygiene and the prevalence of diarrhoea.
