Bishop Auckland man fined for using mobile phone while driving

A BISHOP Auckland man has been fined £37 after being caught using his mobile phone while driving on December 13. Paul Ian Metcalfe, 18, of Hazlegrove Crescent, pleaded guilty to the offence at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court today (Wednesday, March 12). He was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

FAMILY HISTORY: Sedgefield Family History group is holding a meeting at Ceddesfeld Hall at 7.45pm on Monday, March 17. The speaker, Rennison Vayro, will give a talk entitled "The surname Vayro, following in the footsteps of Grandfather Thomas." All are welcome.
