EACH month, The Northern Echo highlights one of the many dogs looking for a home at the Dogs Trust, in Sadberge, near Darlington.
BUDDY is a 19-month-old Collie-cross Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who came to the Dogs Trust from another animal welfare organisation.
Rebecca McKeown, from the Dogs Trust, said: “Buddy arrived with very few doggy manners but has shown to be a willing pupil and has come on in leaps and bounds.
“He loves learning and showing off his new tricks. Buddy is a very enthusiastic boy with bags of energy and a big personality to match.”
The trust is looking to rehome Buddy with owners who have the time and patience to train him - someone who is at home during the daytime would be best.
Buddy would benefit from being the only dog in a home. He could live in a household with older teenagers, but he can be too energetic for younger children.
Ms McKeown added: “Buddy is a really affectionate boy who loves his cuddles and would make a wonderful addition to his new family.”
For more information on Buddy or any of the other dogs looking for a home, contact Dogs Trust Darlington on 01325-333114 or visit the centre between noon and 4pm each days, except Tuesdays.
