DURHAM University Concert Band will be accompanied by the African Drumming and Singing Society in a performance at Elvet Methodist Church, in Old Elvet, Durham, tomorrow (Friday March 14).

The concert, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, will feature a range of musical styles, from popular film scores to jazz, as well as African rhythm.

BOOK LAUNCH: Author Thomas Beaumont will launch his latest book, The Accidental Bus Driver, at the World Heritage Site Visitor Centre, in Owengate, off Palace Green, Durham, tomorrow (Friday March 14), at 6.30pm.

The book is described as: “A view from the seat at the front, an observation of the extraordinary things that happen aboard our most-loved form of public transport.”
