A YOUTH and community centre has been rewarded for its efforts to support and engage with children and young people.

Newton Aycliffe Youth and Community Centre (NYCC) has received the Investing in Children Award in recognition of its imaginative and inclusive approach to working with young people.

To qualify for the award, which was founded by Durham County Council and the NHS in 1995, an organisation must show that discussions with children have led to change.
