TALENTED students are celebrating after scooping a handful of awards at an annual arts event in Darlington.
Students aged from six to 17 from Voiceworks speech and drama specialists won ten first place trophies and nine second place certificates at the Darlington Festival for Performing Arts, held at Hummersknott Academy on March 8.
‘Slick’, ‘well rehearsed’ and ‘a class act’ were some of the phrases used by the judges to describe the students’ performances.
Winners included Cara Dawson who came first in the senior festival championship, closely followed by Charlotte Crowther in third.
Their coach Deborah Meki said: “I am very proud of all my students for their hard work and dedication.”
