THE next Pact meeting for Howden-le-Wear and surrounding villages will take place at Howden-le-Wear Community Centre on Wednesday, April 9, at 6.30pm.
Hargill Haven, which is the proposed new community centre, will be a priority this month after it suffered criminal damage.
HISTORY AGM: Howden-le-Wear Local History Society will hold its AGM on Tuesday, March 18, at 7pm, in the history room at Howden-le-Wear Community Centre. Refreshments will be available.
MODERATE WALK: The Crook and Weardale Ramblers will hold a ten-mile moderate walk along fields and fell paths on Sunday, March 23 from Orton through Crosby Lodge and Crosby Ravensworth to Bullflatt. Those wishing to take part can leave from Crook Market Place at 9am or meet leader Dave Jackson at Orton (near the chocolate factory) at 10.30am. For more details call 01388-835851.
