Guesthouse to be built on site of former Dallowgill pub

Councillors have approved a scheme to build a guesthouse on the site of the old Drovers Inn at Dallowgill, near Kirkby Malzeard, which had to be demolished after being hit by fire a year ago. They were told a new pub would not be commercially viable.
Parking changes: Lining and signing work has begun in Whitby to bring in parking measures and restrictions in time for the start of the Park-and-Ride bus service at Easter weekend. It follows approval of controlled parking zones to support the Park-and-Ride scheme.
Health care: The first in a series of public forums on the future of local health and social care for older people Richmondshire and Hambleton will be held at the Methodist Church hall in Stokesley from 4pm tomorrow, March 18.
