SPRING FAYRE: Residents at Greencroft Court retirement property, in Greencroft Close, Darlington, will host a Spring Fayre for family, friends and the public on Saturday, March 29, between 10am and 2pm. 2014. The event will include stalls of books, CDs and DVDs, bric a brac and cakes. There will also be a raffle and tombola stall. Proceeds will support tenants’ activities and outings. GAMES FUN: The Darlington Gaming Club will meet on Sunday, March 23, at Café Refresh, in Darlington between 6pm and 10pm. Members can play all types of historical, fantasy and science-fiction games. A small fee may apply to take part.

KNITTERS MEET: The Knitting Circle, a new knitting group led by textile artist Becky Sunter, will meet at Crown Street Library, in Darlington, on Monday, March 24, between 10am and noon. Entry is free. All are welcome.

FILM CLUB: The next classic movie to be shown by Darlington Film Club will be South Pacific (U) on Monday, March 24, between 8pm and 11pm at The Forum, in Borough Road, Darlington. Entry is £3.
