A FOLK singer and guitarist is looking forward to a ‘homecoming’ gig in Durham.
Michael J Tinker’s Bright Season will play the Old Cinema Laundrette, in Marshall Terrace, Gilesgate, Durham City, next weekend (Friday, April 4), a decade after he left Durham University.
He said: “I spent three happy years at Durham University.
“I met my wife there and made some great friends. It’ll be nice to return exactly 10 years after I left.”
Bright Season formed last year, comprising Mr Tinker, fiddle player Ella Sprung and accordionist Simon Dumpleton.
The show, on Friday, April 4, starts at 7.45pm. Doors open at 7pm and Bright Season will perform from 8.30pm.
Tickets are £11 in advance, or £13 on the door.
