A LARGE amount of property was stolen from a transit van parked in the Premier Inn car park, Tindale, near Bishop Auckland, between 7pm and 9pm, on Monday, March 24.
PC Michael Banks, from Bishop Auckland response unit, said: "Some of the property stolen was extremely large and would have required a vehicle for transportation.
“It is thought that the vehicle used by the offenders would have either been in the car park or parked on the West Auckland bypass next to the Premier Inn car park.
“At the time of the theft there would have been a lot of people in the vicinity.”
Witnesses should call Durham Police on 101.
SPRING FAIR: Innovations will be holding a spring fair at The Junction, in Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland, on Friday, April 4, between 1pm and 3pm.
ORGAN RECITAL: An organ recital by Dr Ian Brunt entitled Music for the Passion will be held at St Helen’s Church, St Helen Auckland, on Friday, March 29, at 7.30pm. There will be a retiring collection and light refreshments.
