POLICE are appealing for information after a large amount of property was stolen from a house while the owner was away visiting relatives.
The burglary at a house in Stocksmoor Close, in Darlington, took place between 9am and 8.15pm on Monday, March 24, when entry was forced through a ground floor window.
A large amount of distinctive jewellery, which has sentimental value to the owner, cash that was being saved for a family holiday and electrical goods were among the items stolen.
Anyone with information about the offence is asked to call Durham Police on the non-emergency 101 number and ask for DC Gardiner at Darlington.
