THE County Durham Palestine Solidarity Campaign will hold a hustings for the North-East’s European Parliament election candidates in Durham Town Hall on Wednesday, April 23, at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
QUESTION TIME: Durham School will host a Question Time-style debate in its Luce Theatre on Friday, April 25, at 6pm. The panel will feature Durham City Labour MP Roberta Blackman-Woods, former Director General of Schools Professor Ralph Taberrer, Royal Grammar School headmaster Bernard Trafford and Durham University vice-chancellor Prof Chris Higgins. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

SHOPPERS’ SERVICE: St Andrew’s Methodist Church, Coxhoe, will hold a Shoppers’ Service on Saturday (April 5) at 10am. The speaker is lay preacher Janet Barrett, from Spennymoor.
